• Abundance and Prosperity: This is the main action. Oxóssi is asked to ensure sustenance is never lacking at the table, to bring success in the hunt (work, business), and to open the paths to material and spiritual abundance.
• Opening Paths and Unblocking: As the hunter who clears the forest, the Oxóssi Velón is excellent for removing obstacles that impede progress and the achievement of goals (associated with the syncretism of the warrior who “opens paths” in some lineages).
• Knowledge and Concentration: It invokes the hunter’s wisdom and precision, aiding requests related to studies, focus, mental clarity, and success in exams and projects that require intelligence.
• Protection of Family and Home: It requests Oxóssi’s protection over the home, ensuring that provision and security are always present in the house.
