The effectiveness of Indigo (historically extracted from the Indigofera tinctoria plant, though often a synthetic dye today) lies in its profound resonance with the color Blue, which symbolizes:

Cleansing and Purification: Indigo is a powerful neutralizer of energies. The indigo (or anil) blue color is believed to have the capacity to absorb, break, and dissolve miasmas and low-frequency energies that accumulate on the floor or in the corners of the house (such as those generated by envy, stress, or arguments).
