Angel Tarot: Focus on the 22 Major Arcana

What are the 22 Major Arcana?

In the classic Tarot (78 cards), the 22 Major Arcana (from 0, The Fool, to XXI, The World) represent the great mysteries or the principal stages of the soul’s journey and human development.

• Central Themes: Life lessons, decisive moments, great transformations, universal archetypes, and the structure of consciousness.
• Depth: Because they deal with more potent and lasting energies, readings done only with the 22 Major Arcana tend to be more reflective and spiritual.

The Angelic Philosophy

In the context of the Angel Tarot, the 22 Major Arcana are interpreted and illustrated in a way that:

• Identifies Archangels: Each major card is frequently associated with a specific Archangel (such as Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Metatron, etc.). The reading indicates which Archangel is manifesting to guide the consultant at that moment.
• Messages of Protection: Even cards that would traditionally be seen as warnings in the Tarot (like The Tower or Death) are reformulated to convey a message of necessary change, protection, and spiritual growth. The tone is always gentle and encouraging.
• Focus on the Spirit: This deck is excellent for questions about life purpose, spiritual blockages, self-knowledge, and faith, as it shifts attention away from the practical daily concerns (which would be addressed by the Minor Arcana).
