Description

Iemanjá: The Mother of Water

Iemanjá is the goddess of saltwater, ruler of the oceans and seas. She is the Mother of Almost All Orixás, and, by extension, the Great Universal Mother. Her symbolism is deeply linked to:

• Motherhood and Family: She is the protector of the home, family, and children. She represents the energy of welcoming and unity.
• Fertility: She represents procreation and abundance.
• Protection and Cleansing: The sea symbolizes deep purification and the ability to wash away what is no longer needed. She is invoked for the protection of sea voyages and for general safety.
• Colors: Light blue or navy blue (symbolizing the ocean’s tranquility and depth) and white (symbolizing peace, purity, and the foam of the waves).

⚠️Important Note⚠️: When using a large ritual candle (velão) in rituals, it is essential to light it in a safe, well-ventilated place and on a heat-resistant container, always maintaining respect and concentration on the intention.
